College Application Procedure

Using the information below, students are responsible for:
  1. Obtaining college application.
  2. Providing reference documents to appropriate people.
  3. Collecting reference documents from appropriate people.
  4. Request transcripts using Docufide.
  5. Requesting and collecting Letters of Recommendations (if requested by college)
  6. Mailing ALL appropriate materials (see below).

Common Application
The Common Application is a not-for-profit organization that serves students and member institutions by providing an admission application - online and in print - that students may submit to any of 346 colleges. Click here for more information.

Application Methods
  1. Online
    • Fill out application on computer.
    • Print out counselor portion and give to your Counselor.
    • Request transcripts online using Docufide

  2. Traditional
    • Obtain college applications from colleges/universities.
    • Get applications from the CRC.
    • Give counselor portion to your counselor.
    • Request transcripts online using Docufide
    • Pick up completed counselor portion and mail ALL materials to college.

Letters of Recommendation (if requested by college)

  1. Staff must have 10 school day notice (can be used for teachers & counselors)
  2. Counselor/Teacher Recommendation
    • Turn in the recommendation form or resume to counselor/teacher.
    • Allow 10 school days for recommendation form to be completed.
    • Pick up completed letter of recommendation from counselor/teacher.
